Hot Chocolate Time

28-days-of-snow.jpg

This is our house after 28 days in a row with snow.  Have to keep that driveway and mailbox clear in case stampin’ goodies are on the way!  It’s time for hot chocolate - Here’s a card I made with the Like it a Latte Set and the 2 tag punches.  I printed a recipe for mexican hot chocolate on the inside of the card and used the new perforating tool across the top so it can be ripped off.

Pocket Note Books

pocket-nt-albums-fr-copy.jpg

pocket-nt-albums-bk-copy.jpg

Here a 2 easy books that I made with the pocket notes (winter mini-catalog), Love Matters and the Loves Me designer paper.  The first book is a mini album with a pull out page.  That’s me (left) with friends Mary Jo and Cheri at Convention last year.  The second book has a one-panel (folded in half) insert.  It’s the perfect size for all the neat phrases in the Love Matters stamp set.  I think I’ll give this one to my husband today!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

valentine-layout-wm-copy.jpg

I was surprised this morning with a cute card and my favorite Lindor truffles.  I shouldn’t have them next to the computer - I’ve already eaten 3!   At least I spent an hour exercising (snowblowing and shoveling the driveway) this morning.  This has been a very snowy month!

This is one of my all-time favorite quick & easy layouts.  I did a demonstration last week at the Erie Women’s Club luncheon.  Following my talk, all the ladies made a Valentine’s card.  Using this layout, I was able to have 4 tables working at a time, each with a different stamp set.  It was a hit!  Stamp sets are: Love Matters (winter mini), Sweet shapes, Loving Hearts and Double line Doodles (got at Regionals- available July 07).  I’ve just started playing with a new photo editing program, so we’ll see how this looks.

Very Punny

made by Kim Wilson c Stampin’ Up! 1998-2007

I have enjoyed playing with all the great stamp sets from Sell-a-bration.  My friend Cheri gave me this tag and I made it into a card using the “All about U” stamp set.   I love using the Stampin’ Up! colored brads for an accent.

Embossed Pastels

Stamped by Kim Wilson c Stampin’ Up! 1998-2007

This is a project from my last techniques class using the SAB set Happy Harmony.  I love this flower stamp and it looks great stamped in white EP on Basic Black cardstock.  To color, I used a blender pen and Stampin’ Pastels.  The faux hardware was made with Brushed Gold Cardstock and the 2 oval punches.

Valentine’s Day Approaching

3-by-3-valentines.jpg

Stamped by Kim Wilson c Stampin’ Up! 1998-2007

Here’s some cute 3 x 3 valentine cards that I made a while ago.  CASE ALERT - I may have been inspired by other work in the gallery at splitcoaststampers.  Please let me know and I will gladly add an acknowledgement.  Stamp sets used are Love Matters, Wild About You and Tags So Much.  Colors are Real Red and Basic Black, accents of black gingham.  And yes those enablers at SCS talked me into the Cuttlebug (swirl card).   Usually the ultimate SU snob, this is the first die cut machine I have ever owned.  I fell in love with the deep embossing, ease of use and reasonable price tag (with coupons of course).   But you have to admit, it looks great on Stampin’ Up! cardstock.

More “Loves Me” paper

candles.jpgcard-box.jpgnotebooks.jpgI made sooo many projects out of one package of the Loves Me designer paper!  Here are a few more. For the dollar store candles I used the SAB set Delight in Life.  The double rectangle punch allowed me to add a loop of grosgrain ribbon for the flower center.  For the card box (originally a CD holder), I used the Big Deal Alphabet set.  The notebooks (from Target) were quick and easy.  After this photo was taken, I used the Love Matters stamp set to add  “Friends” to the large one and “the best is yet to be” to the small one.

Hello

I was privileged to be the first member of the Splitcoaststampers.com back in January of 2003.  And I am thrilled to have one of the first SCS blogs.  I joined Tracy’s Stampin’ Up! Splitcoaststamper downline group in 1998 as an “East coaster”.  It has been loads of fun and fantastic friendships.  Now I should stop gabbing and try to upload a project.  This is a quick and almost instant project made with a magnetic frame and the Loves Me Designer papers.  I traced around the magnetic hearts and attached the paper with glue dots.  The background paper and photo are held on with the magnets.   The photo is my kids with pets Charcoal and Pepper.
