Another project with the new designer paper - a quick explosion box card.  This project was in the last issue of our demonstrator magazine.  I just changed out the papers and added a ribbon and tag to the top.   Stamp sets:  Polka Dots and Paisley, Everyday Flexible Phrases.

Long Note

These Long Notes from the spring minicatalog are so much fun.  They fold at the short end, making the open card over 13 inches long.  This one was so quick using the Petals and Paisleys designer paper.  I just folded the double sided paper over to show about an inch of other side, roughed up the edge a bit and added a tag with celery ribbon.  Stamp set:  Polka Dots and Paisley.  You can also add some paper to the inside to create a mini album like I did with the pocket notes (see February posts).

A Little Spring - Part 2

This is the Easter Basket we made at my last class.  It is made from 5 coasters, 4 (4×4) pieces of Petals and Paisleys Designer Paper and 4 pieces of 24″ of ribbon.  Instructions can be found here with a few changes.  I used the SU Anywhere glue stick to adhere the papers.  I  used tacky glue around the actual side edges of the bottom piece (not the top edges)  and inserted it into the box bottom.  I think that made the box more sturdy.  I also added a stamped handle.  I think the handle would also look great stamped with the new wheel, but mine hasn’t come yet.  I’m waiting for our club order this month to get my Spring Fever bundle and half price set.  Stamp sets:  Polka Dots and Paisleys, Everyday Flexible Phrases.

A Little Spring

Yesterday’s warm sunny day and today’s rain has melted a great deal of our snow.  Before the weather gets cold again, I was inspired to make these easy spring cards.  The cute basket is made with the 2 oval punches for the handle, the new round tab punch for the basket and spring bouquet flower punch for the flowers - love those SU punches!  I used the Polka Dots and Paisley set to stamp dots on the basket and the sentiment.  “Spring” is from Everyday Flexible Phrases.  The card base is Cool carribean with a 4×4 piece of Petals and Paisley designer paper (left over from the coaster Easter baskets).  Ink color is Tempting Turquoise, which looks great with the Cool Caribbean.

Photo Holders

I just finished the rest of my Kohl’s photo holders - one in each of the new designer papers.  This was such a quick and easy project .  No stamping was involved except for the paisley image from Polka Dots and Paisley.  These would also look great using the new jumbo wheel.  What a great special for March!  I’m going to get Doodle This for my half-price set.  See the on-line catalogs at my Stampin’ Up! website using the link to the left.

Doodle Alphabet

I just love this doodle alphabet set!  I needed some get well cards for my MOMS group, so I just grabbed some leftover workshop packets and came up with these quick cards.   You can stamp the sentiment on a one inch strip of cardstock and insert from the bottom into the key tag punch to get any size panel!  And the marker set is a must-have if you like the doodle sets.

Here is a vastly simplified version of the photo wallet make and take from Leadership 2007.  I was overwhelmed by the original instructions and all the cool versions posted on SCS, so I came up with my own quick and easy album.  This project has 9 panels for photos or journaling and features the Office Accoutrements Stamp set and the Spiral Punch from the Spring Minicatalog.  It was perfect for showcasing some summer fun with all the cousins.  For complete instructions visit here
