Photo Card

Thursday, April 5th, 2007

After seeing the photo cards in the latest Rubber Stamper Magazine, I have wanted to try my hand at one.  Today’s snow and my sad daffodils seemed like a perfect subject.  Maybe we will have a white Easter, since we had a green Christmas!

I pulled out Garden Green and Summer Sun from the photo.  Greeting is from Warmest Regards, leaves from Best Blossoms.  I’ll  have to try some more photo cards with the extra pictures from our trip.

Don’t Look Mom!

I’m happy that the stamp set All Year Cheer II is on sale, but sad that it is retiring.  I think the greeting images are very sharp and am pleased at how these 2 cards turned out.  Other sets used are Both Way Blossoms and Polka Dots and Paisleys.  Colors are Teal, Olive, Pretty in Pink, Going Gray.  The white gel pen was used to color the daisies and the faux stitching on the faux ribbon.  The designer paper (Petals and Paisleys) on both cards is from the same strip!  This paper is 2 sided, so you can get 2 different looks.

Faux Filmstrip

I thought this faux filmstrip idea using the spiral punch was really cute.  For my card I used the Unfrogettable stamp set, Creamy Caramel and Basic Black cardstock and a few Bold Brights Brads.  I colored with the Stampin’ Write Markers.  On the inside it says “Hoppy Birthday”.   Inspired by a card by Ilovestamping13 on SCS.
