Hardware and Pretties
Today’s anniversary special is 10% off any of the hardware kits (includes Pretties) on page 188. All specials expire on Sept 1 and yes, you can combine specials. Stay tuned tomorrow for my last and best special plus a really cool Christmas card.
These hardware kits have so many fun pieces. One of the cards we made at convention (with the Pretties flowers) is on the Aug 28 post. Here is another that we made with the Pretties hatpin and beads. This is one of the new love notes (p.169). It uses the new Define your life and Defining alphabet.

Crop-a-dile
Today’s anniversary special is 10% off the crop-a-dile plus one package of jumbo eyelets. Specials expire Sept 1 and can be combined. I accept cc and paypal. Today’s card was one of our make and takes from convention. It is a great example of using the CAD in multiple ways - to dry emboss and to silent set eyelets. See earlier in the blog (July 29) for instructions on how to do the dry embossing. The Outlaw designer paper, scallop punch, wide grosgrain ribbon and Wanted Stamp stamp set were used for this card.

Classy Brass Templates
Today’s Anniversary Special is 10% off Classy Brass Templates (p.187). My anniversary specials are good until Sept 1 and can be combined. These templates are not only great for dry embossing, but they also have paper piercing guides. On today’s card I used the Pick a Petal Template which matches the Pick a Petal Stamp Set as well as the Scallop Punch. If you can see in the photo, there is a dry embossed scallop that is slightly smaller than the punched one. And the template gives a large circle of piercing holes that you can see at the top and bottom of the card. The stamp set used was “It’s all good” stamped in Really Rust and the Designer paper is Apple Cider from the Holiday Minicatalog. I love that the Designer papers are double sided - just flip it over for a whole new look.
After lovin’ the Apple Cider paper from the previous card, I tried it here in 4 different ways - stripes horizontal, a strip of stripes vertical, a scallop punched piece, a circle piece. The card is Wild Wasabi. The only stamped image is the greeting from Holidays&Wishes.

Ribbon Originals
What a beautiful day for the last day of summer vacation! Today’s anniversary special is 10% off Ribbon Originals. These are great assortments of yummy ribbons. The photo shows two sampler keychains that were were able to purchase at convention. We also made the gift card using the pretties kit (1 colored with chalk, 1 with ink and aqua painter) and some Ribbon Originals. The card has 2 slots on the inside to hold a gift card. All specials expire September 1 and yes, you can combine specials.

Back to School
My daughter started classes at Houghton College this morning and my son starts 10th grade on Wednesday. What an ordeal getting everything packed for college! To celebrate back to school week, my anniversary special today will be 10% off everything for kids on page 194 of the Stampin’ Up! catalog - this includes tattoo kits, markers and kids pads. It seems like just yesterday that I used the tattoo kits for all my kids elementary school class parties. They make a great activity with no preparation! I take paypal and credit cards. All specials expire on September 1 and yes, you can combine specials. Stay tuned tomorrow for the next one.
For today’s card I choose a fall apple theme. Notice the cool plaid background stamp on the going gray cardstock and the doodles around the apple pail. There are also some speckles from the Spritzer Tool. I don’t remember how I watercolored the card - maybe watercolor crayons? Sentiment is from Warm Wishes and Everyday Flexible Phrases.

It’s my SU Anniversary!
This week I will be celebrating my 9th anniversary with Stampin’ Up! and the beginning of my 10th year as a demonstrator! It’s hard to imagine my life without the fun and friendships I have made through this great company. I am so thankful to you all for supporting me throughout the years. I will be celebrating this week with some great specials. Check back each day to see what is new. First a giveaway. I have a grosgrain ribbon sampler (both wide and narrow) that I won at the SCS dinner in Denver. It was a great get-together with our stamping community. But who needs a ribbon sampler when you have rolls of each of the colors? I have been doing a ribbon share each month with a different set of ribbons - and I keep what is leftover for me! Let me know if you are interested in my next ribbon share. September is the double-stitched ribbons (3 yds each of 6 colors) for $14.50 - includes postage and tax- orders due by Sept 20.
My second giveaway is my workshop project for the punch kit special. I made a simple post-it holder, but I made it out of 2 of the textured 3×3 love notes. We just added a ribbon handle and staples. I packaged it in a large cello bag with some crimped scraps of cardstock to demonstate this quick and inexpensive gift idea.
Add a comment here and let me know what state you are from. I will pick 2 names at the end of the week. Thanks again for your support!

Today’s Tip - Star Punch
Stay tuned next week for some exciting giveaways and special deals as I celebrate the start of my 10th year with Stampin’ Up!
Here’s a fun project we learned about at convention.
1. Punch out some stars (5 each of 2 different colors).
2. Cut off two points from each star (so it looks like a Star Trek emblem).
3. Place alternating colored shapes onto your project with the single point at the center and you get … a flower!
I added a punch box flower and brad for the center and a cardstock stem to my 3×3 note. And here’s a cute little note holder too.
Try other shapes - here’s a butterfly. Doodle in some antennae.

3×3 box and card
Here is a cute little box and matching card using (of course) the 3 for you punch box. Look how I covered up the “just” with a 3/4 ” circle and another flower. If you are a demonstrator, the box pattern is up now on the SU website. I had an extra little watercolored image left from the watercolor class at convention, so I added it to the belly band for the box. It is from the Fun & Fast Notes set. We learned some great tips in that class - so let me know if you would like to me to teach a watercoloring class this fall. If you like any of the projects on my blog, I would be happy to do some of them as a class for you and your friends in the Erie, PA area.

Stamp Camp mini-album
Here’s a break from the punch kit. But remember to order your kit by August 20th to get my class by mail freebies (see right panel)! This is another stamp camp swap that I made for convention. It is modeled after an accordian fold album that was in one of our monthly demonstrator magazines. This was made with 2 pieces of 9 by 4 cardstock scored every 3 inches. One flap from each piece is adhered together. I used By Definition, and In the Spotlight. It is held together with a hair tie. I carry one of these in my purse with some family pictures. It would also look really cute with the stamps from the punch kit and some of those cute little flowers (hint, hint).

Punch Box yet again
Ok, If I haven’t convinced you yet to purchase the 3 for you punch box with free love notes this month, here are 2 more off-the-wall samples inspired by Jan Tink and stampin sass. Remember to check out my additional special at the class-by-mail link to the right! The first card uses the Wanted stamp set and the scallop punch. The spring bouquet flower punch was used to create the leaves. The second card uses lots of flowers to make a wreath. Boy, I sure went through the glue dots with these 2 cards! But aren’t they cute?
Here’s another cute idea to make with the little flowers: aChristmastree
