Boo Box

Saturday, September 8th, 2007

I’m working on some projects for a Halloween class.  Here is my version of the BOO box.  I wanted to make just one box, so I used Batty for you and the Headline Alphabet stamped in White craft ink, embossed with Irridescent Ice.  I’m not sure if I like this pattern - it’s a little bulky in the corners.  I ended up cutting on the diagonal and cutting off some of the bulk.  Anyways, it turned out cute.  You can try a Search on www.splitcoaststampers.com for different versions of this box that was demonstrated at the SU Convention.

Happy Labor Day!

Monday, September 3rd, 2007

What a gorgeous weekend we have had!  We enjoyed an outdoor concert at Bemus Point, NY and a BBQ with family.  My son gave me 2 numbers for my blog candy.  The winners are Melissa R from WA and Pat S from KY.  I have emailed you both.  Here is a project inspired from a convention presentation.  It is a simple 3×3 card with candy, dressed up with a small cello bag and ribbon.  This project used In the Spotlight and LOTS of punches!  I like how the punch-out from the tag was used on the card.

Final Anniversary Special

Saturday, September 1st, 2007

I’m closing out my anniversary week with 10% off EVERYTHING in the Holiday Minicatalog.  Yes, you can combine specials and yes, Stem Sillouettes gets a double discount, because it is also an SU special for September.  Since some may be away on vacation this weekend, I will extend the deadline for these specials to noon EST on Wed Sept 5.

Here is the SU special for September:

Fall Frenzy - 30% off - up to one of each set - with a $30 purchase

 105355  26  Bitty Boos Too   $12.57

And here is my card for today.  I love how this one turned out.  I used the Faux icicle technique shown by Shelli at convention.  Just dribble Crytal Effects onto wax paper.  Sprinkle on some Dazzling Diamonds glitter, and let dry overnight.  Peel off and adhere to your card.  Sooo COool!  The new library clips are also neat (holiday mini).  THey have an extra little clip for a greeting.  The Jumbo wheel is also a must from the holiday minicatalog.  The new Snow Blossom punch and hostess set In the Spotlight were also used.  And the new Brocade Blue Wide Grosgrain Ribbon adds a finishing touch.
