Good Friend

Thursday, January 29th, 2009

I love this new set.  And I can’t wait to get the matching Cheep Talk set.  Here’s a quick card I made today.  I’m trying to use some of that Tangerine Tango Cardstock I got when it was on sale.

Here’s a fun tip.  Fill in an outlined image (like the word “good”) using the Versamarker when stamped on colored cardstock.  It darkens the letters and makes them pop.

Remember, there’s just a few more days to order the “Love You Much” bundle on sale - I still have a few class project kits ready to mail.

Speaking of “goodies”, I have some fun things that I picked up at the Momento Mall at the SU Leadership Conference that I will be giving away to my new recruits in Feb and March.   And SU will be giving away a free stamp set PLUS discounting the kit by 15% !!!!! Contact me for details.

Love You Much

Sunday, January 25th, 2009

This side fold card is another cute project you can make with the Love you Much bundle.  Fold your 11″x 4 1/4 piece of Riding Hood Red Cardstock in half.  THen fold the front panel back 1 1/2 inch and add some Candy Lane DSP and a Pink Pirouette scalloped edge.  Add an inside vanilla panel with the birds peeking out.

Love You Much Bundle

Saturday, January 24th, 2009

This bundle is only on special through Jan 31.  Because the stamp set is on backorder, you will not be able to order it online (due to federal regulations).  However, if you contact me by phone or email, I will be able to order it for you and it will ship on Feb 2.  I also have a few kits left from my class (see below).  For everyone who orders the Valentine bundle, I will send you the supplies for one of the projects and the instruction sheet for all of them.  I also have a stamp club spot left if someone would like to start in February.   It’s a great way to keep on a budget and get free stuff too!

First Day of Spring

Monday, January 19th, 2009

Well…first day of the Stampin’ Up! Spring/Summer Idea Book and Catalog that is.  Here are some first peeks for you of new stamp sets with some cards I made yesterday.

First is the new Playful Petals Stamp set.  This set coordinates with the new Tea Party Designer Series Paper.  I will be sending 4×4″ sheets (6 different patterns) to everyone who orders from www.kwstamps.stampinup.net this month.  That is the size I used on this card.  I just folded up the corner to show off the other side of the paper.  The sentiment is from the new set Really Retro.

Next is the Hoppy For You stamp set.  Everyone needs a good frog set!

and finally the Trendy Trees Stamp Set.  I just love this set - it is so clever and cute.  You will need to order the Stamp-a-ma-jig to get the trunks to line up with the tree tops.  And the new Ribbon Originals lends just the right touch to this card.  I love how you get larger amounts in the new Ribbon Originals.  No more hoarding for me!

Oh, I forgot to show you the make and take projects that we did at the Leadership Conference in Orlando.  This is a boxed set of 3 cards, tag box and 10 tags.  Let me know if you think this would make a fun class or class by mail.  This project features the new set Good Friends and the new chipboard So Tweet.  The stamp set and the set of chipboard we were given at the conference along with lots of other goodies that you can see in earlier posts.  It’s easy to qualify to attend the Stampin’ Up! leadership conference - just ask me how.

Roomie Gifts

Saturday, January 10th, 2009

It is a tradition at Stampin’ Up! events to give your roommates a small stamped gift.  Here is what I brought for Sharon and Diane.  A gift bag containing a few treats and a Big Shot Minialbum.  I used the Raspberry Tart DSP and of course the Top Note Die.  The flower is our new embossing sizlet for the Big Shot and the alphabet is GoGo Boots for the Big Shot.  I made the cover with our chipboard sheets made for the Big Shot.  They are very thick and sturdy.  The bag is pretty standard, but I included a photo from my notebook if you want details.  The top flap is folded in to make the bag more sturdy.
