Sense of Time

Saturday, May 9th, 2009

This set is great for scrapbooking and those masculine cards that everyone needs.  The first photo  features the small grommets, also in the occasions minicatalog.  I actually copied this layout from an old father’s day card that I had made using a similarly sized vintage stamp and sentiment.

This next project is a mini-album using the same stamp set.  This album is made out of 3 flattened toilet paper tubes!  The tubes are wrapped in Urban Oasis DSP, with pull out panels for your photos.  As demonstrators, we have access to many creative projects made by SU staff and also those submitted by SU demos for frequent contests as this one was.  (Prizes are free stamp sets.)  So if you are not creative, but like to copy, becoming a demo this month for only $75 is a great deal.  And if you ARE creative, ditto!  Contact me for details or visit www.kwstamps.stampinup.net

The clock image was stamped in bleach on Basic Gray Cardstock.  The book is bound by punching with the Crop a dile and adding jumbo eyelets and book rings.

Flower Pot Pull up Card

Friday, May 8th, 2009

Here is my version of this card that has been circulating around blogdom and was a recent SplitCoast Stampers challenge.  I used  The Big Shot and Cherry Blossom die for the flowers and the 4 petal punch for the leaves.

 Instructions:

Cut Really Rust CS to 3 1/2 by 9, Score at 2 and 5 1/2 and accordian fold.  Cut into pot shape (about 1/2 from bottom edge and taper up).

Use the scallop border punch on the pot rim.

Tie pot together with Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon.

Cut slider card pieces - 2 1/2 by 4 1/2 and 2 1/4 by 4 1/4 and add flowers and leaves
