These new punches are great! There are a few tricks though. The corner punch does not have guards (you will see why when you watch the video), so you have to use the punch upside down and bring it just to the cutting blades. There are 2 different ways to use the punches together to make squares and rectangles. My recommendation is to print the guide by LeAnn (link below) and keep it handy.
Here is one method shown by Stampin’ Up! This general method can be used to make any sized shape.
The second method is to determine the exact dimensions that will line up perfectly. A tutorial discribing this method is taught by Gretchen here . I used this second method (starting with a 3 and 13/16 by 4 and 3/4 rectangle). First I punched the corners, then lined them up on the top of the border punch. Both methods take a little practice, but the results are fabulous!
Added: Here is a document created by LeAnn that also gives measurements for perfect squares. You just add one of the different dimensions listed to get a rectangle instead.
Also used: Well Scripted stamp set, bird punch and embosslit from the Occasions mini. All can be purchased at www.kwstamps.stampinup.net
