$5 for 25 cards!

Yesterday I showed you a cute mini-album with my $10 grab bag.  Today I opened up the $5 bag and challenged myself to create with no additional consumable supplies.  I did add some stamping and dry embossing.  And I finished off the die cuts leftover from the one sheet that I used on the mini-album (the grab bag has 10 sheets).

Bag contents:

These are the cards in the old Simply Sent kit.  You have to cut one half sheet of each color into 1 and 1/2″ strips for layering.  I did stamp the “Merry Christmas” from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

These are the leftover cards from the kit.  Since there was only 1 sheet of die cuts, I pulled out some extra flowers left from yesterday’s project.  I love how they are repositionable – I moved them a bit!  I added a bit of the ribbon from the kit – just be sure to save enough for the other set of cards.  I also stamped some greetings with Teeny Tiny Wishes.

And here is the last set of cards – 5 each.  This set also includes envelopes!  I stamped with some new sets from the Summer mini – Fabulous Florets, Hello Blossoms and Happy Greetings.  You could also orient your cards in the portrait position with the ribbon on the bottom, if your images fit better that way.  I ran the cards through the Big Shot with the new Flower Garden and the Polka Dot folders.   Or,  you could  stamp a background in Versamark  ink.

Clearly you got more in your $5 than most Mine contained 8-4×4 and ribbon that clashed with the cards.

I think the bag you got is from the Petite Pansies Simply Sent kit. I can send you the file with the original card instructions if you want – just email me at [email protected] Those cards are really pretty. But I agree, the ribbon they included might have to be used on a different project.

You were a LIFESAVER tonight… I have been staring at that Christmas set trying to figure out WHAT to do with it! HA! Thanks SOOOO much. Off to craft now. 🙂
