Sunburst Tutorial
Last month I showed you a cool way to use up scraps of designer paper with the Herringbone Quilt Pattern https://craftdoc.splitcoaststampers.com/2012/02/27/herringbone-tutorial/
Here’s another pattern for your scraps – the Sunburst.
First pick a selection of strips – mine ranged from 1/2″ to 2 ” wide.
Cut each in half along the diagonal.
Now decide how much of a sunburst you want (1/4, 1/2, full) – I used 1/2. And also where you want the center to be – mine is lower left in the card. Roll a few lines of SNAIL across your card panel. Start adding strips so the tips are in your desired location.
I trimmed the strips then added a panel of Lucky Limeade Cardstock across the bottom of the panel.
And then a stamped image from Fresh Vintage where the tips of the dsp strips meet. Plus a brad and ribbon. I then mounted the panel on a Lucky Limeade card. All the supplies used here are items you can get FREE during Sale-a-Bration (ends March 31) at www.kwstamps.stampinup.net !
