Now my class notes for the Creating Your Blueprint for Success Class with Brandi Barnard and Meg Davies.  This class was all about profitability.  I needed this talk – after all, this is a business for me to help with family expenses, not just a hobby.    Again in this class we were goal setting, to reach specific targets for both income and time spent.  We also divided our time between today’s and tomorrow’s dollar activities.   We learned how to purchase for profit (don’t buy products unless you can sell at least 5).   Repurposing project layouts saves time.  And calculating costs for projects helps price classes appropriately. Stampin’ Up! is giving us a Cost Calculator spreadsheet so we can figure out the unit cost of each of our products!  Meg gave us tips on how to determine our hourly pay rate and how to reach it.  If you are wondering why I never make my own sales – this is why:  Stampin’ Up! has great sales and promotions each month, so there is no reason for me to give up my profit to offer discounts.  It just hurts me, other demonstrators and the company when we give extra discounts.
