Event Display Stamper

Once again, I am excited to enter the competition for Convention Display Stamper.  We have to post 3 cards, 1 scrapbook page and two 3D items that we have made.  Projects are judged on quality and creativity.  Since displays are based on a limited number of new products, I decided to make all my cards with one product (Arrows Embossing Folder), using it in different ways.

1.  Hugs Card

Today’s Tip:

-Try embossing with the cardstock at a slight angle in the folder, leaving space for a stamped sentiment.

2. Masculine Birthday Card

I’m crossing my fingers that The Open Sea stamp set does not retire on Monday.

Today’s Tip:

– When you use a dark cardstock card base, add a light panel on the inside.  It looks sharp – and also gives you space for more stamping.

– A fussy cut anchor and Trinkets (brads and pins) add even more dimension.  Hmmm.  They’ve been around a while.  I wonder if they will be on the retiring list Monday:(  Maybe the denim ribbon too.

3.  Gold and More Gold Card

You can never have too much gold.  Here we have embossing, designer vellum and sequin trim, all gold.

Today’s Tip:

I like using Smoky Slate Cardstock to go with Silver Embossing, and Baked Brown Sugar to accompany gold.

4.  Winter Storm

I’m going back to my January CreativeCrew design team submission for the scrapbook page.  This page was made entirely in My Digital Studio, but the layout can easily be recreated in current Stampin’ Up! products for any occasion with a simple change of color scheme.

Today’s Tip:

-Use shadows on both photos and embellishments to add dimension to digital pages.

5.  Envelope Punch Card Box

This is a favorite 3D project I made for the March CreativeCrew challenge.

Todays Tip:

You can make a quick card holder for many sizes of cards using the envelope punch board.  Just use a larger size piece of cardstock and adjust the measurements so that you have 2 punches and scores on each side, leaving an inch in between.  See the tutorial  HERE. for a chart.

6.  Envelope Punch Board Treat Holders

Here’s another quick and easy project using the Envelope Punch Board.  There’s no extra cutting and you just need 2 glue dots to put together this fun little box.  The tutorial is HERE

Today’s Tip:

Use any small punch (here 1/2 inch circle and Little Labels) to make a slot for the ribbon.
