Card in a Box
I hesitate to show the Card in a Box that we did at our last class, because everyone has been posting them. But in case you haven’t seen it yet – here ya go.
Today’s Tips:
-Use Window Sheets and Glue Dots to adhere the butterflies to the inserts.
-Use punched flowers, banners, cupcakes, whatever, instead of butterflies.
-You can find tutorials and videos for “card in a box” by doing a search, but below is a quick tutorial of the instructions I used.
1. Use a 9×5-1/2 piece of CS. Score lengthwise in half (2-3/4) . Turn, Score at 2-1/8, 4-1/4, 6-3/8, 8-1/2.
2. Cut off part of flap as pictured and cut down half way as pictured. Assemble box with sticky strip.
3. Inserts are 3-1/8 by 1-1/2, scored 1/2″ from each edge. Place at top edge of box.
4. Add 4 DSP panels at 2-1/2 x 1-7/8
5. Add your punched butterflies with tiny strips of window sheet and glue dots. Add a strip of fringed grass and rhinestones if desired.
