Card Class Tips – Tutorial #3

I was out of town for a few days, now to get the last card posted.  This one uses the Double Matted Frames technique – a quick tip to get evenly spaced mats.  Use this technique with any set of nested framelits.  Here’s a sample I made using the Wild About Flowers and the Lots of Labels Framelits.

And here’s the class card we made using the Ovals Framelits and the Wonderland stamp set.  All supplies can be purchased at my website shop.

You might also want to pick up the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack and Banner Triple Punch – used on both cards.

Today’s Tips:

– Cut 2 panels for the mats.  My Pool Party Panel was 5-1/4 x 4″ and my Garden Green Panel was 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″.  Connect the 2 panels with a small dab of adhesive just in the center.

-Choose 2 framelits next to each other in size.  Run your adhered panels through with the SMALLER of the 2 framelits.  Then separate the panels and run just the top one through with the larger framelit.   This guarantees a perfect frame.   If you want, run that top panel through the Big Shot again with an embossing folder.  I used the Brick Wall and Softly Falling folders.  Just be sure to keep the panel in the right orientation to line up again with the other panel.

-Stamp your images on a folded piece of heavy Whisper White cardstock.  Use some pencil marks if you need to be sure the images fit in your frames.  Then adhere the panels and embellish.
