TUTORIAL – Double Matted Frames – Jars and Cookie-Cutters – 4

Time for another Stampin’ Up! series of posts.  This time I went wild with the Everyday Jar Framelits Dies and the Cookie-Cutter Punch.  The matching stamp sets are Jar of Love, Jar of Cheer, Jar of Haunts, Cookie-Cutter Christmas and Cookie-Cutter Halloween.

This is one of my display cards.  The Cookie-Cutter scarecrow is hanging by gold thread at the top and bottom of the oval opening.  The background is from the Serene Scenery DSP stack and the sentiment from Thoughtful Banners with the Duet Banner punch.

Today’s Tips:

-You may think you can center the ovals (or other shape) on your card evenly, but here is the fool-proof method.  And here is a previous post that also shows a tutorial for double matted frames.

1.Align the card and the top panel.  Cut with the smaller framelit.

2.  Then cut just the top panel with the larger framelit.

3.  Tape the thread between 2 stamped scarecrows and onto the card base.  Then add the top panel.

This photo is just to prove that the ovals were not exactly centered even though they look like it!   I just turned over the top panel to the other side for demonstration purposes.

And here is a reminder that you can easily bend your photopolymer stamps to fit the curved shape of the Duet Banner Punch.
