Pretty Pockets Mini-Album Tutorial

The Pretty Pockets Card Kit is one of the Sale-A-Bration freebies – only available while supplies last.  A German Stampin’ Up! demonstrator showed how to make the pocket cards into a mini-album here.  I love mini-albums and this one is so fast and easy.  I made mine in about 5 minutes!  Now I just have to add some photos and journaling.  Either the kit, or the finished album would make a great gift too.

The pockets already have adhesive.  Put together the sides (top of the album) of 4 envelopes.  Insert the flap of one into a second, removing the strips to adhere.  Repeat until all 4 are connected, folding on the score lines.  I alternated the colors or you could use 4 of the same color.

Make a binding for the album.  Here I used a 2 x 4-1/4″ strip of Pool Party Cardstock and scored it at 7/8 inch from each end to leave a 1/4 inch edge to the album.  Adhere with Tear & Tape.

Insert the lined cards.  Use these for more photos or journaling.

There is white Baker’s Twine included in the kit, but I used a piece of Pool Party Stitched Satin ribbon to tie it together.  I attached the ribbon to the back using SNAIL, my favorite adhesive for ribbon.

You will have enough supplies to make two of these quick and easy albums out of one kit!  There will also be 8 regular envelopes left.  You can use these to make a traditional envelope minialbum – again by inserting the flaps together.
