National Scrapbooking Day

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!  I hope you got to do something creative today.  In our area it has been raining for days non-stop – perfect weather for inside crafting.  Otherwise I would be out working in the yard today!

Check out my Facebook page for a Virtual Crop event – I’d love to see your projects.  Here’s what I made today – an Ice Cream Sandwich Mini-Album.

The directions for making the box can be found on Splitcoaststampers.com.  It was designed to fit candy and a gift card, but I decided to make an accordian fold mini-album.  I had room for some photos and memorabilia from my last Stampin’ Up! meeting, OnStage 2017.

Here is the open box and the cover of the album.  The belly band is stamped with the Cool Treats set in some of the new In Colors.  For the album I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock and cut it at 5-1/2 inches the long way.  I scored every 2-1/2 inches and cut off the last little piece.  That gave me 4 panels, one of which I adhered to the bottom of the box.

I had 4 pages for the inside of the album….

and 2 pages left for pictures on the back.  I printed some wallet sized photos, cropped and journaled.  I kept the inside very simple, but I can go back and add some embellishments later.  I’m thinking some of the popsicles (stamped off) over the journaling and maybe some of the new In Color accents (when my preorder gets here next week).

Would you like to attend fun meetings and get new products early like these fun In Colors?  Check out my website and the Join the Fun tab.

Happy Crafting,
