Eclipse Card Part 3

Help!  I can’t stop making eclipse cards.  Something about this easy to create, 3D effect is addicting.

Today it was Spooky Cat and the Cat Punch bundle.  I knew as soon as I saw the cat punch that I would have to have it.  Not that I am especially a cat person, but the punch just called to me.  (You know you want it too).

Now, the stamp set did not excite me, but since it was bundled with the punch at 10% off, I thought why not?  And after giving it some ink, it has my stamp of approval.  I love the 2 pattern images that look a little like Washi Tape.  They remind me of the retired Gorgeous Grunge stamp set, but on a smaller scale.   Do you love the sweet little rat (cough)?   And the bubbling test tubes are just darling.  I didn’t realize that the outline is one stamps and the inside bits are separate stamps. So you can stamp them in 3 different colors.  And I did!

Today’s Tips:

-The 3D Eclipse card instructions and tips are in this post.  Remember,  foam strips and backing with black cardstock are key to this technique to get the full effect.

-When using a punch instead of framelits for this technique, your top panel needs to be small enough for the punch to reach.  Here mine is 3 x 4-1/4″.

-The Vintage Crochet Trim nicely tops the strip of Designer Series Paper for a finished look.

-Click on any of the thumbnail photos below to see the products I used on this card.  I appreciate any orders, as I just have a few more weeks to earn the Alaskan cruise from Stampin’ Up!  Check out my current specials on facebook and this post.

If you are in the Erie, PA area – Stop at my open house this weekend.  Check upcoming events at my website calendar.

Happy crafting,
