Floating Frame Technique

Floating Frame is the hot stamping technique at the moment, so I had to give it a try.

I must say, I love it.  How cool to see the images floating in a framed shape.  And you get a twofer – the inside part makes another card!

There are some frustrations involved with the technique, but worth it for the end result.  The photo above is my 3rd run through, so I learned a few tricks along the way.

Today’s Tip:  This means the difference between an excellent project and a distressed one – ie images ripping away as you peel off the Press N Seal.  The solution:  Generously rub your Embossing Buddy by Stampin’ Up! over the sticky side of the Press N Seal.  It will seem like it no longer sticks.  But believe me, when you run it through your Die-cutting machine, it will still stick like crazy.

I’m not going to show the entire process here because there are many videos on the web.

If you would like pdf instructions, I do have them available as a bonus to my April CardClass pdfs (photo below).  It’s free with a purchase from my shop this month.  Or you can purchase the pdfs directly – link below the photo.
