MOMS page
I have been busy getting tickets and flyers ready for my World Card Making Day event. It will be a fundraiser for my MOMS group at Grace Church Friday Oct 5 at 7PM. Today I also threw together a couple of pages for our MOM bulletin board which is very EMPTY at the moment and needed some content. These are some pictures from our Leadership Team Retreat. Stamp Sets: Wanted, Well Worn Alphabet. Paper: Apple Cider, Ruby Red, Scallop Punch, SU journaling font. We will be working on the MOMS scrapbook next Friday at our weekly meeting.

Stamp Camp mini-album
Here’s a break from the punch kit. But remember to order your kit by August 20th to get my class by mail freebies (see right panel)! This is another stamp camp swap that I made for convention. It is modeled after an accordian fold album that was in one of our monthly demonstrator magazines. This was made with 2 pieces of 9 by 4 cardstock scored every 3 inches. One flap from each piece is adhered together. I used By Definition, and In the Spotlight. It is held together with a hair tie. I carry one of these in my purse with some family pictures. It would also look really cute with the stamps from the punch kit and some of those cute little flowers (hint, hint).

Page for MOMS
It’s hard to find stampin’ time, now that the weather is finally nice! I did have to put together a make and take for a demonstration on scrapbooking for my MOMS group this week. I found inspiration from the Stampin’ Up! Workshop Wizard for demonstrators. I want everyone to try out our cool punches and the jumbo wheel. Polka Dots and Paisleys is such a versitile set - I find myself using it frequently. Colors are Cool Caribbean, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip and So Saffron.

Beach Page
Can you believe that we had snow on the ground again yesterday? So, I worked on some beach pictures from another dreary day last fall. My pages are usually pretty simple. I think it’s because my husband’s photos are so good, that I don’t need to add anything else. And, I’m usually so far behind in my scrapbooking that I don’t feel like spending lots of time fussing over the pages! I did use a couple stamps from Polka Dots and Posies and Typeset Alphabet and Everyday Flexible Phrases for the title. We live in one of the few areas in the world that you can find lots of beach glass. The kids and I always enjoy walking the beach and finding some good pieces.

Long Note Mini Album
I sacrificed the last Long Note from my package to make this minialbum. I needed to display some of the many photos from our spring break cruise to the Western Caribbean and 14 fit in this little album! The belly band of one inch wide cardstock is similar to the one in my photo wallet (earlier post). You could also just add ribbon under a front panel to tie the album shut. I used the Big Blooms stamp set, and Brilliant Blue to coordinate with the Cool Caribbean. Other sets used were Fresh Fillers and Expressive Flexible Phrases. Inspired by a post by vicnvin on SCS.
Instructions: Score both sides of the Long Note at 3 5/16 and fold them towards the center. Cut 2 pieces at 3 x 6, fold in half and attach to the 2 side folds using the paper piercer and linen thread. Decorate and add photos.

Photo Wallet

Here is a vastly simplified version of the photo wallet make and take from Leadership 2007. I was overwhelmed by the original instructions and all the cool versions posted on SCS, so I came up with my own quick and easy album. This project has 9 panels for photos or journaling and features the Office Accoutrements Stamp set and the Spiral Punch from the Spring Minicatalog. It was perfect for showcasing some summer fun with all the cousins. For complete instructions visit here

Pocket Note Books
Here a 2 easy books that I made with the pocket notes (winter mini-catalog), Love Matters and the Loves Me designer paper. The first book is a mini album with a pull out page. That’s me (left) with friends Mary Jo and Cheri at Convention last year. The second book has a one-panel (folded in half) insert. It’s the perfect size for all the neat phrases in the Love Matters stamp set. I think I’ll give this one to my husband today!
