Stampin’ Up! Surprises

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

I woke up to some great surprises this morning!  SU just announced some new products.  I can’t wait to be able to share them with you on Dec 1.   And I am hoping for some new members for my team who would like all these new products at a discount!

We had a great demonstrator meeting on Sat.  Here is a card I made that Barb brought for our make and take.  Isn’t it gorgeous?

Something Different

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

Finally a different stamp set - this is the Christmas Punch Hostess set.  The snowflakes are stamped with the Frost White Shimmer Paint - very cool!  They work perfectly with the Boho punch too!  Colors are Bashful Blue and Night of Navy.

These feature the Holiday Lounge DSP.  Isn’t this pattern a perfect fit?  The first card is brayered (or can be sponged) on Bride Specialty paper.

Here I used the oval circle die, and ran through with the Petals a Plenty embossing folder.  I cut out the tree, and used the leftover pieces to form the oval.  DSP is Merry Moments.  Sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

This duo use the Petals a Plenty embossing folder for the Big Shot.  For the first card, I made a stencil out of a window sheet and sponged on some Soft Suede ink before stamping.   My November class will probably be trying out this technique.  I plan to make a stencil for each of my club members to keep.

I have really been going to town with this stamp set and punch.  I think most of my customers have purchased the punch as well!  More samples over the next few days.  It’s not too late to purchase these minicatalog items at www.kwstamps.stampinup.net and have plenty of time to play before the holidays.

Don’t forget the Cocoa Designer Paper - also from the mini.  The backgrounds are Texturz plate for the Big Shot.  The alphabet is also a set of Big Shot dies - all from Stampin’ Up!

Autumn Days

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

I know I have said it before, but I love this stamp set!!!

Here I used the Sanded background to add some texture.  Aren’t these some great color combos?  They are from the SU Color Coach which is a great tool you can purchase from me.  Sage Shadow and Handsome Hunter, So Saffron and More Mustard.  Don’t forget the Kraft Taffeta Ribbon.

Here are some fun Cases.  The wreath card is so simple. Stamp 4 times with Mellow moss, then offset and repeat with Old Olive and then Ruby Red.  The second card uses layers of white shapes (dimensionals in between) to make a medallion.

These cards are all created with the Lots of Bots stamp set.  I am selling them for $2 each to benefit the McDowell/Fairview Robotics Team.  I can also custom make whatever layout/colors/sentiments you would like.  Here is a sampling of the cards I have made so far:

To make this card, I folded the edge over by 1/2 inch then punched with the slit punch.  I then added a thin strip of green cardstock behind the fold, and extended that side to it’s original size with a strip of designer paper on the back.
